How is the community - Guild Wars Forums

Hey all i have been wanting to try GW for sometime, how is the community? alot of people playing or? Like will it be terribly hard to find groups or a guild?

It will be hard at 1st, but once you get the hang of it (and get to level20) you'll find alot more options. Most people outright will not party with you unless you have Hard Mode available.

There's a SHIT-TON of guild that will want you out there, but take your time and get one where you actually enjoy being in and not just because it's a big guild with full guild hall and blah blah blah.

When you find groups to join, if you have a really gun time with them or a player, ask about their guild.

If you're having trouble starting out finding people, join a guild, or get heroes. Heroes and henchies were made so you can play through all the campaigns without having to play with a single other player. In completing all the campaigns, I think I had help with maybe 5 or 6 missions in total from other players, and mainly because they wanted to join.

You can find guilds that are looking for members in that specific section of the forums. You can also post that you're looking for a guild in a separate section.

Other than that, I'd say just play in the american districts and someone is sure to spam with "[GUILD] is now recruiting! blah blah blah blah blah!!"

I think the community here great, and I started guild wars about 1 year ago not knowing anyone.
In the Guild Recruitment section of this forum you'll find many friendly guilds that doesn't require much to join them, I found my current guild there and was the best thing that happened in the game.

The game isn't THAT full since most are waiting for GW2, but for the same reason new players are coming for the Hall of Monuments.

Compared to 3 years ago we are very few, but I'm still in love with the community. Really, gw has the best gaming community ever!

As for finding groups, the game can nowadays be completed solo with a group of NPCs called heroes. For endgame content and pvp you can still find groups.

Dwindling maybe the droids you're looking for. It sadly is but a lot of newbies wanting the HoM glory so swings and roundabouts! There are plenty of active players/guilds though!
